We've been getting a little stir-crazy in Tahoe because mother nature is too busy watching Netflix or something. Lord knows she isn't bringing much by way of 'the goods'. That's why John Foy, Jason Privett and myself loaded up the truck and hit the road in search of.......waves? That's right! We drove down to Half Moon Bay, home of the famous Mavericks Surf Spot, and decided we'd scare the shit out of ourselves and hop on a boat and see what all the fuss is about. Lucky for us, the captain of our boat apparently thinks its funny to make people puke, and that's exactly what he did. Although the three of us were able to fend off the spewing of our breakfasts, the ENTIRE ESPN CREW puked for the better part of 4 hours. On top of that, they had rented some insanely expensive lens to put on their insanely expensive R.E.D. camera, and they didn't even take it out of it's carrying case. Not to be mean, but it was really fun to watch them continuously puke over the side of the boat.

My friend Skinny, who is one of the big shots out at Mavericks (Mavz if you're a brah), called me and told me that these were going to be potentially some of the biggest waves he's ever seen. He wasn't far off the mark. We shot a ton of photos for another website I'm a part of, ChasingMonsters.com, and posted them this morning. I figured I'd post them here if anyone is interested in seeing what insane people do for fun. Ok, time to get back out there, it's pumping again today!
