Stop 2 of the Burton Qualifiers amateur snowboarding tour ripped through New Hampshire in the wake of a classic nor’easter blizzard on New Years Eve, 2016. The White Mountains, and the locals who live there, embody the state’s Live Free or Die mentality. Contestants hiked through 14 inches of fresh snow on sides of the un-shaped halfpipe at Lincoln, New Hampshire’s Loon Mountain Resort. Burton Qualifiers is a 6-stop snowboard tour making its way through North America. Winners at each regional event take home cash prizes, bragging rights, and are entered to compete in the finals at Seven Springs, Pennsylvania.
