Palmer
Promo Video
Here's the Palmer Snowboards promo video that you will most
likely see at your local shop, although it's not for sale.
Great music by Slayer, Fugazi, and Kiss. Great riding by Temple
Cummins, Jay Isaacs, Hetzel and Shaun
Palmer himself. Highlights include; Temple's bail of death,
Palmer's buddies tearing on cycles and the opening triples
boarding action. The whole video is five minutes of goodness.
Rad! Palmer is in true form. -Chris

Games
This video is super fun to watch. Mouse (Jamie Mosberg) does
some rad filming in B/W high grain format not to mention color.
Hosoi
footage at Chicken's and Kelly Belmar's pool is killer. The
funny segments are great and the snowboarding "shot everywhere
with everyone (almost)" as the box says, is equally as good.
Rent it from your skate shop at least, or go buy it. It's
definitely worth having in the video archives. -CC
Hollywood
Hooray for Colorado! Those Big Jean guys are at it again.
If you like snow covered golf courses with a twist, you're
in. I got kind of bored watching this film because I don't
like people who spin 720's two feet off the ground and tree
riding is for the birds. David Vincient, who I've never seen
before, has got a killer part. So do a few other riders, but
all together I think I'd rather check the TV guide first.
Oh yeah, rappers with empty 40 ouncers? -Matt

Plastic
Soldiers
From the makers of the psycho punk series Creatures of Habit
1&2, comes their latest skate, surf and snowboard edition,
Plastic Soldiers. If you're unfamiliar with the Jon Freeman
experience, then get ready this 'cause this vid idles at about
200 mph. It's fast paced and furious fun to watch, not to
mention the lingerie and silicon filled additions. Hetz, Guch,
Goodman, Farmer,
Burt, Nicholson and Sanders provide a flurry of snowboard
mayhem. While McGraf flies high MXing, Christian and Archie
do some sick backside 3's H20 style. Hawk and Santos kickflip
wood while a surfer kickflips foam. Its got remote locations,
nice computer animation and killer cinematography. One of
the most entertaining videos I've ever seen. It also keeps
you in check with 00ZABO. This section is better than ever
and more than worth the asking price of the tape. -MK
Dog
Eat Dog
This 2 song promo video for the band Dog Eat Dog was sent
to us by Cold Earth Wear/Dead End. I think that's becuase
the band wears their clothes in the video. DED owes a heavy
debt to the Beastie Boys. Sonnys says he hears some Rage mixed
in. They've also got a horn section which gives them a little
more of their own personality. But while this band may be
a bit derivative, they're also hella' fun. Both videos are
filled with lots of snowboarding and skating and they're very
well directed. I'm getting pretty sick of the whole snow/sk8/music
crossover thing as a marketing tool (can you say Mt. MTV?)
but this one looks like it was done with soul by musicians
and boarders, not a promotion agency. Both of these videos
are better than 80% of the dreck on MTV. Sometimes, it's just
about fun as their chorus so aptly states: "No thugs, no tricks,
no soapbox politics. No guns, just words, we kick this just
for fun." -John
