Shaun
Palmer Interview I
don't know. I grew up doin it. At first I grew up BMX'ing, then
I moved on into selling drugs, and ... umm, went through high school
selling dope: coke, mushrooms. I was a high school drop out. People
thought I was gonna be a loser. Well sometimes I still am a loser,
but I would consider myself a loser with money. And that part of
my life is successful. Are you confused? Am I talking into a big
blurred circle of bullshit that you don't understand, do you think,

Dave
White Interview He
also rolls his words around like a nice fresh egg feels when you
turn it to see if the yolk's still in there. But he's hip as eggs
go - chicks dig him, and he's got what Q-Tip might call rudeboy
composure: he's never bent over. Now he's into transferring pipe/park
moves to powder and steeps, but he's shown he can do the contest
thing with a halfpipe: 15th at the `92 Japan contest Terje won,
and a 16th at the `91 OP Pro.read on>>
Chris
Andrews Interview He
grew up riding in 'lingo central' Grass Valley with Chris Roach
and Tucker, but talks perfect phonetics. He therefore admires the
talent of the "older school" riders like Roach and Tucker, "All
the guys from the Western Front video," but cites Uriah Birch and
Chris Haggin as some up and coming talent to keep an eye on. read

How
To Tune Your Snowboard When
you talk to most shop techs, they all have their own waxing secrets
that they claim work better than others. But the truth is they all
work about the same. After a few times of waxing your own board,
you will find a way that will work best for you.read on>>
Your
Son Eats A Lot Of Meat by Arlie John Carstens I
was happy that he was calling shit on this ugly propensity a lot
of us exhibit for wholly unnecessary recognition within our quaint
little sub-culture. Anymore, it is almost not enough for people
to purely play in the snow; the goal is no longer fun, it is the
pursuit of glory and bro-brah glad handing with as many of the other
recognized chump idols of the day as possible.read on>>
Three
Skaters: Denny Franchini, Troy Miller & Martin Orduna Troy's
skating is a mixture of new school innovation and old school speed
and aggression. He doesn't skate around all night trying shit he
never makes, he just makes it. He can be found in the greater Sacto
area and occasionally at the Daily Grind. Besides skating, Troy
also likes to get really drunk and punk out on people; and I heard
he's been known to throw down some serious fashion statements while
snowboarding. read on>>
Music Articles
Quicksand Interview As
a band we kind of look at it as... it's not like it's our art, we're
not video makers, we make music. Unfortunately, that's where people
see music now, on MTV. If you want alot of people to hear your music
you've gotta put out a video. If you want people to hear it ,you
do it so we just got video directors. We like the videos for the
most part and tried to make something we can live with. I think
that's all we were really hoping for, something that they would
play and didn't make us look too stupid.
