Per usual, Boreal Mountain Resort and Woodward Tahoe was the first California Ski Resort to start spinning lifts today, Friday, November 7th, 2014. Opening days at Boreal have always been something that is speculated on, and highly anticipated.  This one was no different.

With Tahoe receiving a small blanket of snow last weekend, Lane Knaack and the terrain park / Snow making crew went to work, announcing their opening only two days ago. What was presented a solid 14 inch base with 8 features including their signature 6 inch Down-Flat-Down, The propane tank “Pill,” and a few bonks, flat rails and boxes down the “South 40” slope with the Castle Peak Chair spinning.  One thing you can always count on is people going hard first day, and they did.  Tons of people made it from Bear, and even as far as portland to ride.  We will just let the photos do some of the talking for us!
