After a few days of hiking around in the Tahoe side country after some early season snow its always a shredder tradition to hit up Boreal for opening day. This year they sure out did themselves. The park crew hammered out one of, if not the best opening setup to date. Big ups to Lane, JR and crew for killing it with 10 features including the new Z tube, and a nice 20 footish’ table top. Mother nature provided a nice coating of natural snow and cold temps this week which allowed the snowmakers to crank the guns allowing top to bottom runs for the anxious crowd.
Its always great seeing shred heads you might of gone all summer without seeing on the slope for some beers and slashes in the sun! Lets hope this is an insight to what could be a long overdue big winter in Tahoe!
We at Heckler Magazine also want to send our best to a fellow shred head that took a nasty fall today and had to be airlifted to Reno. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Chip, we have no doubt you’re gonna pull through this and be back on your board soon enough bud.
