Donner Summit, CA, (November 20, 2012) – Boreal Mountain Resort is preparing to open the Accelerator High-Speed Quad Thursday, November 22, 2012 offering top-to-bottom skiing and riding. The addition of Accelerator expands terrain offered during the Thanksgiving Holiday. Recent snowfall amounting to 16” – 23” of fresh snowfall has allowed Boreal’s mountain operations crew to prepare the upper mountain for a Thanksgiving opening. On Thursday, Boreal will operate three lifts (Accelerator High-Speed Quad, Castle Peak Quad & Nugget Double Chair) from 9am – 9pm providing access to as many as 6 runs. Boreal will also begin operating the Playland Tubing moving carpet and Kids Club moving carpet for children’s lessons.

Boreal also offers night lift tickets for $26 for teens/adults and $20 for children valid from 3:30pm – 9pm. Snow tubing will also be at Boreal’s Playland Tubing Park accessed by a moving carpet, $25 for 2 hours.
