BBQ, beers, and boarding! During the warm summer months, few things are better than getting together with your friends and having some food, drinks, and a great skate session. The third installment of Chillin & Grillin Wednesdays went down at South Lake Tahoe’s Skatehouse Skate Park, and the indoor park and perfect outdoor mini-ramp were shredded by all (Including owner of the park Shon Baughman, who possesses one of most dipped smith grinds I’ve ever witnessed on transition) until late into the night. Brenden Greene kicked off the session by dropping off the roof of a house into the mini (first try) and never really slowed down after that, destroying anything in sight and getting so much footage it took hours to sift through it all. Seriously, the kid has such a diverse selection of tricks and lands EVERYTHING. Dakota Whitaker was also on hand getting his surf style on and killing it with the old school deck all evening, and Dan Conroy was flying around the place doing the dopest frontside airs off the corner of the tranny into the vert wall. The Skatehouse Skate Park is the only public indoor skate park in the Lake Tahoe area and an awesome place to shred all summer or winter. The park also has an interchangeable setup that can be moved around so you can always keep it fresh and find new lines. Having fun with your friends is what skateboarding is all about, and these sessions have been a great excuse to do just that. We are going to be Chillin and Grillin every-other week all summer long, and will be consistently switching up the parks to keep it fresh. Stay tuned every write-up for the next park announcement, and if were in your area come out and enjoy some BBQ, beers, and boarding with us!
