Last weekend Heckler Mag and the FAMdamly Productions crew traveled to Denver, Colorado for the annual Snowboard on the Block Festival. It was a blast.
17 and 1/2 hours of driving, countless fast food, naps, and endless caffeine breaks brought Heckler and FAMdamly on the journey to The Block Festival in Denver. Snowboarding, Vape Pens, Music, Beer ,and Skateboarding all clashed together hardcore. The line was long, the weather was hot, the booths were endless, and the hopes and dream’s of the industry were displayed for all to see. Its was worth the drive and heat, this event went off.
Some of top movies in the industry premiered at the block party- Snowboarder Mag presents “Forword”, VIDEOGRASS presents “Mayday!”, Neversummer’s “Dang Bud”, FAMdamly’s “Until We All Fall Down”, Absinthe Films presents “Heavy Metal”, Keep The Change “Homage”, Will Film For Food “Sol Food”, Capita’s “Stay Bass Ass”, Celtek’s “Nothing to Prove”, and many others, including Bluebird Wax, Bald E-Gal, Think Think, and Burton.
The major music acts that brought the house down were Total Chaos, Reno Divorce, Misfits, Mobb Deep and many others. The sound was great on all stages, and was a blast in the mosh pit during the Misfits .
The rail jam was ridiculous , with the likes of Andrew Brewer, Riley Nickerson, Jaeger Bailey, Garrett Warnick, Scotty Vine and many others. 25 tons of snow, three rail setups, and a great time. Congrats to all the competitors. It was one hell of a display. Once again Scotty Vine took home the win, and it was his birthday. Bagging the cash, trophy, and a Sony Action Cam.
There was also a mini ramp involved at this rad event, and Seth Hill on rehab was putting on a show. This Festival had it all, and was a great show of all shapes and sizes. Danny Kass and the Dingo were on the mic hyping all the madness that was going down . Even the legend Duane Peters (The Master of Disaster) band GUNFIGHT blessed the evening after party ROCKING hard all night long. If you have never been to this event it is one hell of a time and you should plan on attending next year. Great times here at the BlockFestival in Denver, until we meet again next year, have a great winter.
